A politician strives for the protection of their country’s pillars, the betterment of the common man, and lifelong dedication. Mr. Biden epitomizes all three.

Mr. Biden has witnessed the end of the Vietnam War, the Watergate Scandal, the rise of the new GOP under Mr. Regan, the fall of the USSR, the Bosnian war, the Iraq war, 9/11, the Afghan invasion, the financial crisis, and most importantly, Mr. Biden served as the vice president of the first black president, a historic precedent after five decades since the passing of the LBJ Civil Rights Act of 1964.

After the disastrous four years of Mr. Trump, Mr. Biden was well suited for the top job after multiple failed attempts.

Mr. Biden is a career politician; he understands the politics of Washington, D.C., the very political system that dragged him to end his bid for a second term.

The traditionalism that was carried forth by Mr. Biden was fundamental to his being a unifying force—a force that vehemently denied the politics of vitriol and hatred for others and wanted the resurrection of American ideals. The ethos of the American Declaration of Independence “All men are created equal.”

Mr. Biden had the aptitude to serve as that force, and he did succeed. He succeeded so overwhelmingly that Mr. Trump had to incite an insurrection, trying to overthrow the democratic process of certifying a president.

The choice was clear: do you prefer an opportunist who works solely for his own advancement, or a liberal democrat who labors for the upliftment of all.

His past had demonstrated that he possessed the fortitude to undertake the most arduous duties in the world, even amidst the most trying times since the conclusion of the Second Great War.

Five decades in Washington proved consequential in Mr. Biden passing the most decisive legislation after the New Deal of FDR, with just a slim majority in both houses of Congress.

His decades of serving in the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate allowed him to grasp the nature of geopolitics. Mr. Biden is the president who united the whole of Europe against Russia and rejuvenated NATO. He is also the president who sought to improve relations with Asian partners after the devastating diplomacy under Mr. Trump—may it be the normalcy in relations with China and Mr. Xi, the strengthening of ties with India, or solidifying the alliance with Australia, the Philippines, South Korea, and Japan. Mr. Biden has once again put the focal point in the United States as the problem solver: “The Leader of the Free World.”

What we have just took part in will go down in history as the most courageous acts of the 21st Century.

It is not common to retire from the most important job in the world while having a chance to continue; however good you may be as a person, power corrupts. Mr. Biden is contrary to the perception that politicians only work for themselves.

Politics should never be about an individual; it should never evolve into a personality cult.

It is imperative that the sole focus be on the values that follow the individual, not the other way around.

One may disagree with Mr. Biden’s politics, but do not berate him; he has made a decision that not many have the caliber to execute.

Mr. Biden will be remembered for many things, yet most notably for his age. Why, you may inquire? Indeed, while he may be advanced in years, it is precisely this maturity that has bestowed upon him a sincerity in thought—a quality conspicuously absent in the contemporary politics of division and animosity.
